Lydia Kavina

Composer, performer, and teacher, Lydia Kavina is the world's leading theremin virtuoso. She learned theremin from her great uncle Léon Theremin. Since 1981 she has been performing worldwide with, among others, the London Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Orchestra, the Boston Modern Orchestra, the Russian National Orchestra, and the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia.
She is a composer of music for theremin and teaches the instrument in Russia, the United States and Western Europe.
