13 Ways of Looking Up My Skirt

Here are four studies for a large work in progress, 13 Ways of Looking Up My Skirt. (Yes, the title is lifted from Wallace Stevens.)

Each one is approx 8x8 inches, mixed media on wood. There is some line carving in the wood. You can't really get a sense of the texture from the scan. These are just tentative "sketchy" things to give me a sense of color, form, texture etc. The finished work might not use this exact "picture."

Some Velvet Mourning

LEE HAZLEWOOD: 9 July 1929 – 4 August 2007
LEE HAZLEWOOD has died peacefully at his home outside Las Vegas, USA, after a three year struggle with cancer. He celebrated his 78th birthday earlier this month surrounded by family and friends from around the world. He passed away on August 4th, 2007, in Henderson, Nevada, and is survived by his son Mark, his daughters Debbie and Samantha, and his devoted wife Jeane.
