There are days when sunlight is neither sobering nor illuminating.
My friend, Miss Quick, in the above picture, is an event planner and I work some of the parties that she organises, such as the one described here. So I woke up today with this Costello song in my head. With the bit about "the after-dinner overtures" and the general tone of the song, it could from the soundtrack to the fancy event last night, especially the vague anxiety of staged intrigue.
Still, it's a living and all, yeah?
