Lessons From Things will resume posting soon.
I'm working on getting everything in good working order before I proceed.
I hope to retrieve the archive as well. Most of the pictures have gone missing but I will repost them when I can. This will take some time as there are hundreds of posts.
Thanks for reading my blog!

I must apologise for a number of incidents occurring around April 2008. These involved an initially refreshing intelligent conversation on MySpace ironically about attractive women and their problems in cyberspace. Purely by my stupidity it descended into what caused some distress.

I compiled a fanpage as a satire on overzealous fans and called it from memory “Ashley Plath fansite.”

The drastic mistake I made, which removed any humour at all from the exercise, was that the photo I used had been from one of the multitude of sites that carried what I though was “Ashley’s” picture. To my absolute horror someone had placed an image on a site with her name that not only tuned out not to be her, but a missing friend. I made frantic attempts to remove this page immediately but was only met with tardiness and automated responses from MySpace, I think it came down much to everyone’s relief a few weeks later. She interpreted the fact that the page was still there as being part of my continued annoyance. This was not the case.

For this I deeply apologise, I also placed a video on YouTube which she rightly described as manic in which I sang (or attempted to!) “Love of My Life” by Queen.

I suspect this behaviour is part of my occasional extreme behaviour in what is normally a very sedate conservative lifestyle.

It was quite an initial thrill to have discovered an intelligent young woman who was also a capable writer/correspondent so I became quite “high” (naturally - no substances involved) and then a little angry when I didn’t hear from my new friend every day!

All a bit silly but I really hope that I wasn’t confused with others in cyberspace who had been making her life difficult. A.B.
